We asked for your opinion on things that aren’t talked about at Aston Villa but should be.

Here are some of your comments:

Mast: The depth of our team, or lack thereof, goes unnoticed. Players coming back from ACL injuries don’t seem quite ready to play the football that’s asked of them. Our pace and intensity of work has dropped off a cliff.

Stem: It was obviously going to be difficult to match the consistency of last season, but having only one clean sheet in the Premier League this season, and that in a match we did not win, highlights a major weakness which Unai Emery is aware. of. I think he will fix it in January.

Charlie: Nobody really talks about the lack of quality in attack in these last few matches. I really respect Emery and the options Villa have, but it doesn’t seem to be working for some reason. This got me thinking: what happened to these players? If they’re tired, play Emi Buendia or Ross Barkley more often than Leon Bailey or Jacob Ramsey.

Phil: How we slowed down and started playing football with our backs to the goalkeeper. Our advantage was our speed of play and our breaks which brought the teams out.

Jodi: Kosta Nedelkovic is a fantastic player and so ambitious for a full-back. He will take Matty Cash’s place.

NO: I don’t have space to question Emery, but his decisions in recent matches have been interesting. Starting Mings in a Champions League match and playing John McGinn on the wing. Some spark has been lost and teams seem to have realized that dissolving our midfield with an intense press is the key to victory.
