Napoli manager Antonio Conte sat down to preview Sunday’s match against Roma.
The Italian head coach spoke to journalists earlier today in Castevolturno.
“I am happy to see Claudio again, I have great respect for him and we are friends,” Conte said of his opponent.
“I am happy for him, I thought he would return to the bench of a national team but we know that the window of the heart of Rome and Cagliari would have remained open and I am also happy for his family.”
“It will be a difficult match for us and for them. Let’s not forget that last year, Roma arrived before us, they participated in the Europa League and had an excellent transfer window.
“Their performance does not match expectations or their actual values. I, Ranieri, can only make a good start after facing us.
“When a team changes coach, there will be a significant contribution on the nervous level. They are on their third coach this season, we knew more or less how they were set up before. Now Roma is an enigma, a question mark, we don’t know how to deal with it.
“You have to think about us, the boys worked well, there is enthusiasm and the desire to play well on Sunday. Knowing that it will be a difficult match against an excellent team which has encountered some difficulties.
